Applications 3D has done work on various dies and molds. For example, we have worked on blow molds, Injection molds, single dies and compound dies. Dies and molds can have inspection reports made and be reverse-engineered. Another service we offer is the ability to reverse engineer a die/mold. While reverse engineering, we can also modify the model to meet the new needs of your company. This data can then be used to have your current die/mold machined to new criteria or remade.

Modifying an Injection Mold with 3D Scanning
A local injection mold-making company based in Windsor was faced with the challenge of modifying an existing mold for a vacuum cover. The problem they had was the mold they were needing to make changes to was manufactured by another company and they did not possess the CAD data for the mold. Utilizing 3D scanning a reverse engineered model was created.
